15 Different Types of Travellers – Which One Are You?

15 Different Types of Travellers – Which One Are You?

Have you ever been travelling with someone and thought “I wish I’d known you’d be like this before we left”?

At home, people are in their comfort zone and everything is as it should be. Take them out of their comfort zone and occasionally a different person can emerge. Do they get a bit wilder? More chilled? Frustrated?

Here’s a list of 15 different types of travellers – be sure to quiz your fellow travel buddy before committing to go away with them. If they turn into ‘the big spender’ then hey, that could mean a cheaper holiday for you but if they turn into ‘the easily attached’, you could be spending your holiday as a third wheel or even worse – alone.

It’s very true and sometimes overlooked that people travel very differently. Great infographic to sum up the majority of travelers! I would say I’m a mix of Explorer and Everyone’s Best Friend. What about you?

Hi Katie, thanks for stopping by! There’s probably an infinite amount of different travelling types but I thought this list would be a good place to start. I can be a different type of traveller depending on the type of holiday. I’ve been the backpacker, the ultimate tourist, the explorer, the night owl and I’ve even tried my hand at being the luxurious traveller (though I’ve never opted for more leg room as I’m really not that tall!) Are there any other travelling types you can think of that I haven’t included?
